Solid bar and can affix the clamps in diff locations..downside is knobs have no hex key centres and when thigh can be extremely hard to undo by hand.
Initially had it for a C8 and ED8. It handled the weight with ease.more recently I have changed to a 102 and the ED80, the 102 is just in the sky watcher rings that the 80 came with and the 80 I put in some guide rings to line it up withSolid as a rock no issues that I didnt cause myself
This is not good enough for what I thought to use it for, dual setup with two WO Zentihstar 61, and two exactly the same dslr cameras. The image section is very different and it is not possible to adjust.Of course, I have switched to cameras and refractors in all combinations, but the results are the same.On the left side the refractor must be tilted up and to the left, tried to shim with tape, but it is not a workable solution.I think the mistake is that this is a bad product that may be usable at smaller focal lengths.
Response:
This is the same issue with any side-by-side bar or side-by-side mount it isn't always possible to ensure both sides have the exact same alignment, this is why products like the JTD Dual Rig Telescope Alignment Saddle exist to enable precise alignment of two telescopes.
