The Coronado PST has been redesigned for increased contrast and image brightness.

The Coronado Personal Solar Telescope (PST) is the world's most popular solar telescope with a 1.0 angstrom hydrogen-alpha (Ha) bandpass filter that reveals the dynamic, ever changing prominences at the edge of the Sun as well as filaments and other surface details.

Features a 40mm dedicated Ha optical system, 30mm internal etalon primary blocking filter, incorporated focuser, bandpass fine adjustment controls and built in solar viewfinder.

Mounting options include use on a regular photo tripod (scope is threaded for a standard camera 1/4-20 mounting bolt).

Please note, the Coronado PST is designed primarily for visual use. The focus position is approx 5-10mm above the eyepiece holder. Many owners are using the Imaging Source DMK-21 camera to produce some truly remarkable images. Mounting a DSLR is more of a challenge as the sensor is set deep inside the camera body but it is possible using a Baader Hyperion series eyepiece with an adapter. Hope that helps.
