I bought this as a direct replacement to the red dot finder that came with the scope. As it is, I find that the x9 magnification is too much and so I now use both - the red dot for rough finding and then the 9x50 to centre the object for the telescope viewing.
Does what it should so shouldn't mark it down really, but only 4 stars from me.
