The Hawke Frontier ED offers fully multicoated optics, modern ED glass and phase-corrected prisms. The sturdy magnesium alloy body is nitrogen purged (fogproof and waterproof) and features a modern open-hinge design that is comfortable to use.

Other features include widefield eyepieces with long eye relief, twist-up eyecups and a minimum focus distance of 2m.
