The new Pentax DCF series features an open-bridge configuration with tactile rubber armour for stable, comfortable observation.
Fully multicoated optics, high-refraction BaK4 phase-coated prisms with an additional super-reflection coating ensure bright, clear views with faithful colour and high contrast. Waterproof construction (equivalent to JIS Class 6) means these binoculars can be used with confidence regardless of the weather. If dropped in the mud you can even rinse them off in a bowl of fresh water! And the body has been nitrogen-purged to eliminate internal fogging.
Additional features include:
- Helicoid-type, extendible eyepiece rings with a click-stop adjuster for quick, easy adjustment of eyepiece position
- Minimum focusing distance of approximately 2.5 meters (8.25 feet) for a clear view of up-close subjects
- Rain-shielding eyepiece caps to prevent the intrusion of dust and raindrops during observation
- Long eye relief to assure comfortable observation over extended periods, even for eyeglass wearers
