This stainless steel extra long replacement DEC shaft is designed to fit the Sky Watcher HEQ5 mount and allows the balancing of telescopes up to 10" without the addition of excessive counterbalance weight.

The polished shaft is 46cm (18") long and replaces the existing shaft completely.

To remove the existing shaft, loosen the three grub screws just below the telescope mounting point, then unscrew the weight stop-cap off the end of the bar and slide the bar up and out of the top of the mount.
