The HEQ5 mount is a good choice for visual observers looking for a medium-duty German Equatorial Mount.
Can be upgraded to PRO spec with the optional Synscan GOTO upgrade kit.
The HEQ5 German Equatorial Mount features a polarscope, large RA and DEC locking clamps, built-in dual axis motor drives with multi-speed hand controller, and retractable counterweight shaft and counterweight. The field tripod is remarkably stable with 1.75" diameter steel tripod legs and adjustable height.
For astro-imaging consider the HEQ5 Syntrek or HEQ5 PRO models.
