I bought the 3x barlow for photography. I wasn't sure how well it would work so I didn't want to spend a fortune on something very expensive. As it turns out, this works a treat! I use the barlow and an extension tube and it gives me great pictures of the moon and gets me closer to the planets with my Megrez 72 and a DSLR camera.

I bought a 2X Tal Barlow to double up on magnification options and was initially worried about quality issues - because of the low price.
How wrong I was.
True to Tal's reputation, this barlow is very well constructed, feeling reassuringly weighty in the hand. The multicoated optics have withstood years of cleaning on a regular basis with a proprietary cleaner and microfibre cloth. When in the telescope, there is no detraction from the optical quality of the eyepiece.
It is rare to find an excellent quality product at an affordable price - I highly recommend this.
