About this product

Model:  ae_adptr_1027

New Ultra-low profile version - gives even more back focus distance.

Enables you to fit a guide camera with T thread directly to a Sky-Watcher 9x50 finder-scope.

Will also fit other similar finder-scopes from Orion / Celestron with a fine M51 x 0.75 thread.

Can also be used on right-angled finder scopes but you will need a 40mm T extension to provide the necessary focus.

High quality, CNC machined, anodised aluminium.

  • Overall Length: 14mm including threads.
  • Optical Length: 0mm if threaded all the way in.
  • Finder Scope Thread: M51 x 0.75
  • T Thread: M42 x 0.75

This new version has notches to help you grip and thread it in - this reduces the optical length to 0mm but you may need to use pliers or other tools to help thread this on.

Note: Finder scope threads are fine and often have small particles of paint/plastic in them so we recommend cleaning the threads before screwing on the adapter. Please take your time, be careful and and don't apply force.

Does the trick
16 November 2021  |

Bought this to attach a zwo asi 462 camera to a skywatcher 8x50 finder to use for guiding. Zwo we’re very helpful in exchanging an incorrectly ordered part and advising on the correct one to order. Little pricey for an adapter but saved on the cost of buying a new scope/camera and price was competitive to other stockists

Finder to T adapter
25 June 2021  |

Fits perfectly on my Sky-watcher 9 x 50 finder, so now I can attach a guide camera for autoguiding. No problems with fitting and holds the camera snugly.

Enabled me to use a 1.25" eyepiece on my finder (with a barlow and other adapters), converting it to a 20x finder. Happy customer!

Finderscope to guidescope
02 December 2020  |

This adapter replaces the eyepiece assembly and converts the excellent Skywatcher finder into an effective guidescope by fitting a planetary camera (I use the ZWO ASI 120MC and it works very well)

First I could not get to focus but I did little research and what you need to do is to remove the tightening ring on the Sky-Watcher 9x50 Finder

Didn't work for Celestron 9x50 finder scope
14 July 2020  |

Great quality product but it did not work with my Celestron 9x50 finder scope. Tube needed to be a bit shorter in order to come in to focus.
