Baader 2" ClickLock M42 (T2) Clamp - fits anything with a male T2 thread (M42 x 0.75 outer thread).

The Baader Planetarium 2" Click-Lock Eyepiece Clamp brings eyepiece holders into the 21st century. With a simple twist, 2" eyepieces and accessories are instantly locked with such strength that they can literally support an entire telescope without slippage. Simply grip the rubber-knurled outer collar and lightly twist. Easy.

Features

  • Inner depth: 30.1mm, T-2 thread length: 6.5mm
  • Optical length: 36.6mm
  • Weight: 147g
  • A small rotation by 20° with gentle fingertip pressure to the knurled lever is enough to securely clamp every 2" accessory.
  • Ratchet function – features acoustic and haptic display of the clamp-position. This way you can hear and feel in darkness without looking if the clamp is opened or closed.
  • Compression tension-ring of thick-walled hard bronze, keeps its shape even after many years of use and holds expensive accessories securely - without causing scratches or pressure points on your accessories.

Baader 2" Clicklock
06 July 2020  |

I use this on my Skywatcher Skymax 127 Maksutov scope, which comes with a T2 male thread extension on the tube that accepts 1.25" accessories . Now I can use two inch accessories and I use it with the Baader 2" dielectric clicklock diagonal. It holds very securely and is made high quality. I can now use two inch eye pieces with my smaller maksutov scope very securely (as much as the field stop of the scopes baffle tube allows without vignetting).

Yes it costs some but Baader makes real high end quality gear that works very well. The quality and function for my use has been excellent.

Solid bit of kit

I'm a fan of Baader Clicklocks. I use this on the end of a T2 extension (which on the other end has a Baader 2" nose to T2) to keep my DayStar Quark secure and to avoid flexture. The 1.25" nose just wasn't solid enough when horizontal. It's fine when using a diagonal but I wanted to remove that for imaging. This worked great for me.
