About this product

Model:  bes_eaf-c11.14-rasa11
Part Number:  bes_eaf-c11.14-rasa11

These brackets enable you to mount a ZWO Electronic Automatic Focuser (EAF) onto your telescope.

The system consists of two parts:  a bracket for your telescope and a coupler that attaches the EAF onto the focuser pinion.  Connections are held securely with stainless steel M3 set screws.  Where necessary, bracket mounting screws are provided.

The ZWO supplied M4 screws are used to attach the EAF to the bracket.

Note that the user will need to have a 1.5mm hex key for the M3 set screws (not provided).

GSO Linear Bearing Focuser EAF Bracket Mounting Instructions:
Please follow carefully!
1.  With the bottom of the focuser pointing up to avoid falling, remove the 4 screws.
2.  Place the EAF bracket on the focuser and using the screws provided evenly tighten all 4 screws until they are snug.  Tighten 1/4 turn more, being careful to tighten all 4 screws evenly.
3.  Slide the coupler onto the focuser pinion shaft.
4.  Attach the EAF to the bracket.
5.  Tighten the set screws on the coupler.  Do not over tighten.

Buckeye EAF adapter for my GSO 6RC
28 February 2024  |

It was very straightforward to connect to the focuser. Remove right hand focus knobs (micro and regular) You just tighten the grub screws that are provided on the spindle to the bare bar. And tighten the adapter around it, to the where the focus bar protrudes.
Simple but effective. I've had a couple of nights testing with the EAF. I hit perfect focus, using asiair routine, first time. Confirmed with bahtinov mask. Seems the stock GSO focuser may actually be sufficient for imaging. With the EAF connected, I don't have to worry about tightening the dreaded focus lock.
Great item at a very fair price.

Easy Fit for an EAF newbie

I must admit is was a little worried about how difficult it would be to fit the ZWO EAF to my GSO two speed focusser but it was suprisingly easy. As usual a brilliant service from FLO. Thank You
