This is my second ADM Counterweight that I’ve bought to put under the front of a dovetail to balance a rear-heavy scope. This one allows my EDGE HD 8” to be gripped by both saddle knobs on a GEM45 Mount. Like all ADM products it just oozes quality and works great. The only criticism I have is that it’s possible to loosen the mounting screw when rotating the weight for fine balance… Nevertheless it’s an easy 5-Star rating.

I wanted something to replace a SW counter weight, I'd bolted to the end of a long vixen mount bar, and as I was also updating the mounting bar to an ADM, I wanted something that would give me a 'wider' range of adjustment etc. So I bought one of these to go with the mounting bar...

It's well made, and easily provides the adjustment I need to cater for a single ED80 to and ED80\ST80 or ED80\Canon cameras etc....

Having said all that it does have one BIG drawback, and that is that, there is NO locking mechanism on the weight, to ensure it keeps in place.

As it moves very freely on the 1/2" 13 TPI rod, I've had to turn to eBay to get some stainless steel hex nuts and penny washers, which will hopefully form an easily adjustable locking mechanism...

I decided to purchase the dual version of this ADM product as I wanted the flexibility to use on other scopes with larger dovetail bars. This fits well and is well made.
