This version of the popular Explorer 150P has a longer tube length to achieve higher magnification and contrast - properties that will appeal to planetary and lunar enthusiasts.

"Many contemporary observers severely underestimate what a quality telescope of this size is capable of revealing.

The fit and finish of the Explorer-150PL is typical of Sky-Watchers contemporary products - in other words, extremely good for the money. The rigid yet lightweight rolled steel tube has an unobtrusive seam and the gorgeous slightly metallic sky blue paint finish contrasts nicely with the rounded black tube end castings.

M13, the great Hercules globular cluster, was a magnificent sight despite urban light pollution with resolved components across the core with innumerable peripheral stars. Verdict: a reborn classic that I can't recommend highly enough for the price.."

I got lucky with a customer return!
03 February 2022  |

I purchased this same item at a reduced rate, due to it being a "customer return". I was very dubious as it was my first telescope purchase, let alone my first purchase from First Light Optics! I cannot thank FLO enough! The item was exactly described, delivered extremely promptly and has been keeping me amazed for the last few months (weather permitting of course). Incredible OTA, comes with decent eyepieces, but YOU WILL be looking to upgrade them relatively soon if you're anything like me. Luckily FLO has a great range! Of which I'm looking very closely at the BST range & StellaLyra.

Great mount and tripod, much sturdier than one may imagine from looking at payload capacities and weights involved. I have tried smartphone photography through it which has turned out great! (The proof is on Instagram @MyAstroJourney). I highly recommend this setup and very much recommend FLO! Knowing that a customer return has worked out so well, I will most definitely be purchasing any future deals I may come across on FLO, as well as numerous things from there incredible brand new ranges!

Thank you FLO for helping me to start my Astro journey!
