Vixen Porta Mount II

The guys at FLO recommended this mount when I asked about a grab and go mount for my Skywatcher Equinox 100 ED. The Equinox is quite a beast as grab and go scopes go so it had to have something honestly capable of it. First off the Porta Mount II is a beautifully made item nothing cheapo about it and although it's fairly lightweight it's as solid as you'd like. I'm really chuffed with it with a few caveats the slo-mo controls are really small and lightweight and too short for my refractor. I've replaced them with some skywatcher ones (17.50) that the guys at FLO also recommended perfect! and for my big old scope I've also got a set of Celestron anti vibration pads as I will be doing some high magnification planetary viewing and they will cut down the wobbles when focussing, this is to be expected with an f/9 scope at over 200x I think you'll agree. Overall I'm delighted and I'd also like to just say that the buying experience with FLO is great and I love the site with the wish list and ask a question choices. I promise that FLO has not made this up if that's what you may think credit where it's due.
