This is my second Moon Phase Clock, the first I bought about 6 years ago and was placed on the exterior of my garden shed. It eventually weathered to the point where a new clock was required. My new clock sits on the wall in the conservatory. Once correctly set, and so long as the (changeable) battery allows, the Moon Phase Clock Does nothing more than what it should, a continuous and accurate indication of the moons current phase. A good talking point too, when people see it ask me all about it!

Your illustration of this clock shows the spring and neap tides marked on the clock face, The clock that we have received does not have these marked on the clock face. Very disappointed as we already have one of these clocks with the markings on and this was to be a present for someone who had admired our clock.

Here in Australia the moon phases appear opposite to those in the Northern Hemishere. When you see the left hand side of the Moon illuminated we see the right hand side.
To correct this I had to dismanted the clock, rotate the mechanism 180 degrees and hang it upsidedown for the waxing and waning phases to appear correctly.
Please consider making both Northern and Southern hemishphere versions of the Moon Phase clock.
