When purchasing digital setting circles for your telescope, you will also need to install a set of Encoders—without Encoders, your Digital Setting Circles cannot interface with your telescope.

The encoders are attached to your telescope’s axes and send signals to your DSC, which determines your telescope's position.

The Meade Lightbridge Dobsonian Encoder Installation Kit is designed specifically for Meade Lightbridge Dobsonians of all sizes.

12 Light bridge resurrected into the modern age

I recently bought a 2nd hand late 2007 model 12" light bridge and seen astro devices did an encoder kit, I contacted Flo and they duly ordered one for me, a bit off a wait ensured with the kit arriving a short time later, a relatively simple installation and I now have a light bridge transformed into the modern age running via a nexus 2 and tablet with sky safari pro app, it is a dream to use and I highly recommend the kit to fellow light bridge owners.
