Converts the Baader Hyperion Clickstop zoom into a 3.5mm to 10.5mm high power zoom eyepiece for greater magnification when needed. Also connects via the included T thread adapter to a T ring for high power astro imaging.
Triplet lens design for anastigmatic flat field suitable to complement the high image quality of the Hyperion Zoom.
Works with every version of the Hyperion Zoom eyepiece including the new Hyperion MKIII Zoom.
Can also be used with a DSLR camera (requires a T-ring to suit you camera).
Magnification can be adjusted using optional T-spacers.

Fitted to my hyperion zoom lens this works great. I was a bit concerned that the cap that covers the T-adapter had a crack in it so doesn't fit snuggly, but no big deal. There is no glass in the adapter so not a major problem.
Perfect Hyperion Zoom Companion 19 November 2022 | Stephen
I bought this a couple of weeks ago to complement the Hyperion Zoom Mark 4 which I purchased at the same time. The usual excellent Baader quality. It transforms the Hyperion into a very high power zoom with hardly any degradation in image quality. If you've got the Baader zoom then don't settle for any other barlow, this is the business.

I've just tested out this Barlow fitted to my Baader Hyperion 8-24 zoom on a terrestrial object, my finder scope alignment target... a public footpath sign on a ridge 1/2 mile away that can't be seen with the naked eye. A crow happened to be perched on the top for added interest! The writing was clearly legible all the way up to 280 before it began to soften. Using my SkyMax 127 with a focal length of 1500mm (f/11.8).... the x2.25 barlow gave me the following click stop settings. Zoom eyepiece set at 24 = 140.6x. EP set at 20 = 168.75. EP set at 16 = 210x. EP set at 12 = 281x. EP set at 8 = 421x which more than my scope can handle. Apart from some expected darkening and softening of the image at 421x. the other click stop settings were more than acceptable. And of course being a zoom there's more options in between. The barlow is invisible when viewed through the Hyperion Zoom. Can't wait to try it on the moon. Highly recommend and compatible pairing with the Baader zoom. It looks quite small out of the box but does extend the height of the Hyperion Zoom from the diagonal. As it's now the same height and side by side to the right angled finder scope eyepiece it's not a problem. I understand it can be fitted to most eyepieces. As usual, my thanks to all at FLO for thier impeccable customer service and assistance. Wouldn't shop anywhere else. Many thanks.

This is the perfect accompaniment to the Baader Hyperion Zoom eyepiece. The optics are superbly clear even right up to the highest magnifications the Zoom eyepiece is capable of delivering. If you already have (or are thinking of buying the Hyperion Zoom eyepiece) this is simply a 'must have' purchase.

This is a match made in heaven when paired with the Baader Hyperion Zoom. Just screws onto your Zoom once you select the proper adapter (fitted) and your Zoom now has a completely different range of focal lengths. The clarity and brightness etc remain unchanged from just the Zoom eyepiece itself. I’m glad I bought this despite already having several decent Barlows
Baader 2.25x Barlow for Zoom Hyperion 26 February 2021 | Gary
Purchased at the same time as the Hyperion Zoom MkIV. Only used a couple of times to-date but fantastic views and detail of the moon. Very pleased with this purchase
Excellent Barlow, excellent service. 15 February 2021 | Carl
I probably should have bought this Barlow at the same time I bought the zoom, but hey ho. Firstly in these COVID ridden times not only was the item actually in stock, but the price hadn't risen and it arrived in short order. The Barlow is a joy to use with the zoom and views do not appear to be degraded in anyway, certainly nothing with a 102 ED refractor I could see. I bought this primarily as a double splitter and it certainly has disappointed me in this regard. Looking forward to some more lunar observation soon. All in all a sharp user friendly Barlow, the perfect partner for a Baader Zoom.
