Note: This premium quality erect-image Amici prism is designed for astronomy so can handle high magnifications. However, all Amici prisms exhibit a diffraction spike (two lines, either side of a bright star) where both sides of the prism surfaces join. This is normal for a prism of this type.

The Best Correct Image Diagonal Made ☆☆☆☆☆

Forget what you read about other Amicis. This Baader Astronomical Quality Amici is far far better. Its quality is that of Baader's conventional BBHS diagonal, and as capable of high magnification views, with no detriment for being an Amici Right Angle Correct Image. I have not noticed any spikes from bright objects, a reported feature of cheaper Amici prisms.

My diagonal is used with a 120mm refractor and C8 SCT. Its not a cheap accessory, but ticks all the boxes for star hopping and following printed atlases. Going from Telrad to a RACK finder 7x50 scope to my main scope is seamless, easy and straight forward. Having top quality views justifies owning one of these Zeiss spec prism diagonals.
