I think this product is excellent for the money. I think you need to ask the important question- could you make it yourself to the same high standard for the price you paid. If so you've put an investment into the required machinery so you've probably already made the item yourself.

The product is extremely well made, fits the internal OTA very firmly and can be adjusted to a wide range of small aperture telescopes with precision. The stand offs fit very tightly and the silicon covers are a nice grippy enhancement to securing the mask.

The mask is shipped in secure packaging protected with foam insets and the standoff fittings are taped to the inside of a side flap which require fitting into the 3 provided 120 degree angled slots.

This item will give you a lot of service and in my opinion is worth the price of entry

Clear plastic Bahtinov mask for accurate focussing of stars. Expensive piece of plastic, but it’s better than others available on the market, and it does it’s job very well.

The Bahtinov mask arrived on time and well packed with just the right amount of protection.

Wanted a mask that lets more light in. It's been said already that this is a very nicely made but very expensive bit of plastic. But I knew that and I am not disappointed!

Good Quality Mask. Much improved focusing through more light getting in. Should have bought one of these a while ago. More expensive, but thicker, stronger and better quality all round. It is what you need.

Quite pleased with the mask. It definitely gives a nice, clear diffraction pattern that enables quick, and precise focussing. The silicon-sleeved, adjustable screws grip the lens, or scope very nicely, with no danger of slipping if adjusted correctly. The mask arrived very well packaged, and seems to be a very nice piece of kit. I can’t give it five stars though, as it is incredibly expensive for a sliver of PVC, no matter what grade of PVC it is.
