We use the Nevada PS-08 PSU here at FLO and at Star Parties and are happy with it's performance. It provides 6A continuous output (8A surge) so can power a number of devices simultaneously and it delivers a good clean regulated DC signal so you won't suffer from the handset/alignment glitches associated with budget power supplies.

Only used it a couple of times to power my CGX mount with 25cm f6.3 Newtonian which is an unwieldy beast. Using my old power supply the mount tended to be noisy and sluggish, so far the Nevada has had power to spare, the motors seem quiet with an even tone, the handset is brighter and doesn't glitch, and the CGX responds quickly to changes in direction with the RA/DEc buttons. So far so good, next step guiding imaging when conditions allow

I have this using 5m LynxAstro power cables to my AZ-EQ6 GT Pro mount and one dew heater. This utilises both the cigarette lighter socket and ring tongues and I've not noticed any problems, with total current draw within the individual and total ratings for the supply. With additional equipment I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one of these units to split out the load.

Just as the title a nice 12V power supply that will happily supply all your needs up to 5A which I think is ample for most setups. I say 5A because that is what the cigarette lighter socket is rated at. The power supply is rated at 6A (8A Surge) but to get that extra 1A means connecting to the terminals whereas the socket is much handier setup and personally do not like running supplies to their maximum rated output as I think it shortens their life (my personal opinion as an electronics engineer). It is heavy and really I would not recommend for use outdoors but great for use in an observatory or skylight setup.

It has one function and it does it very well. It feels solid and capable and so far it has worked flawlessly.
This type of unit is not that commonly available in terms of other suppliers. I had to search out various hobbyist retailers to get something similar. FLO's price is very competitive as well.

Having just had my old standard supply fail I was wondering if it was worth the extra £10 for this - yes it is.
Guiding and slewing are about the same on NEQ6Pro however this now runs the scope, 2xdew controllers and camera cooling and still draws less than 4A. It can easily support another mount if needed.
Very strong and sturdy. I now have it on a UPS for improved reliability and surge / drop protection.
If you are considering replacing a power tank or mains supply then this is a must.
BTW - Even though this is 13.8v it works great on ASI1600mmc

Purchased this from FLO to provide a more powerful regulated power supply to a Celestron GGE Pro Mount to replace generic 12v DC supply. Works well so far with noticeable increase in smoothness of slewing.

Very solidly built and with the advantage of an ammeter, which showed my mount peaking at around 3 amps when slewing during testing. As I'm running a 5m cable from my conservatory this is ideal and no need to worry about batteries running down. Very reasonably priced, I would consider buying another for a dew heating kit when I get it. My only concern would be a power cut, but fortunately they are few and far between where I am. A battery backup would solve that problem if needed.
