An easy to use low maintenance beginner telescope. The compact size also makes it an excellent choice for taking on holiday.
The included eyepieces are noticeably better than those supplied with other tabletop Dobsonians so you can expect good views from the outset.
Requires a sturdy garden table to stand on.

Recommended Accessories

The following optional accessories will enhance your enjoyment of this telescope:
A 2x Astro Essentials barlow increases the magnification of the included eyepieces. When used with the 10mm eyepiece, the magnification increases to 128x. With the 26mm eyepiece, the magnification is 50x.
A 0.9x 1.25" Moon filter reduces glare when observing the Moon for more comfortable viewing.

An excellent first telescope 10 October 2023 | Martyn
This was purchased as a present for a young relative beginning in astronomy. At this stage it should be all about memories: craters on the moon, Jupiter and the Galilean satellites and the rings of Saturn. It shouldn't be about wobbly mounts, mediocre optics and gradual frustration. The fevered reading of telescope reviews is a thing of the future! Before handing it over I gave the telescope a test drive and spent a very happy hour looking upwards. The plastic cover over the primary mirror end is a nice touch and prevents fiddling from young fingers - after collimation (easy to do with the supplied collimation cap and nicely held once done). This is an excellent, and rugged, little performer which will, if you keep the eyepieces sensible (the ones supplied are a good kick-off), deliver some lovely low to medium power views. It is very easy to set up and use. I've handed the telescope over and it has given a lot of pleasure - and early practice in the essential astronomy skill of finding gaps in the clouds. FLO (as always, excellent service) may like to consider plastering the stand with stickers of the moon and planets. These have been applied by the recipient and they look a good upgrade!

Really pleased with this telescope, came next day, easy to assemble and quality was lot better than I expected for this price as a beginner this telescope is probably the best first step to starting in astronomy and obviously experience will tell but for me now this is ideal.
