I got the AZMount Pro tripod top as a special order to fit to my Uni 29C. The star knobs were a very stiff fit (too much paint?) but working an M8 bolt in and using a lot of lithium grease eventually got them working. Fitting the legs went easily once I realised you have to work from the outside of the tripod, not the inside.
In use, an unforseen problem occured. The AZMount Pro's alignment routine invoves pointing the scope at the zenith and turning a full circle. With my WO 132 scope, you can't do this with the diagonal attached or it will hit the tripod during the pirouette. Looks like scope assembly will have to wait until after the azimuth sweep. Not a problem with a shorter scope, of course.
The tripod and mount rig was very stable even with the heavyweight refractor and its counterweight attached.
