Celestron 2 Year Warranty

Celestron products include a two year warranty except binoculars and spotting scopes which have limited lifetime warranties.

The Celestron Cosmos LT-60-AZ is no longer available but we can offer the more advanced Celestron Astromaster 70EQ at only £109.

The 70EQ features a larger objective (more light gathering ability) and a more advanced GEQ mount (easily track targets as they move across the sky).

The 60mm aperture, long focal-ratio and coated optics provide pleasing views of Jupiter and some of it's moons. Saturn with it's rings is easily identifiable and the lunar surface will show a wealth of detail. Some of the brighter deep-sky targets are also within reach including the Orion nebula, M13 Globular cluster in Hercules and the beautiful double-star Albireo.

Includes 20mm & 10mm Celestron eyepieces providing 35x, 70x magnifications.

Add a Celestron 2x Barlow to increase magnification to 140x !

Q1. Is this the telescope shown in the John Lewis advert with the little girl and the man on the moon?

The advert really was wonderful wasn’t it :-)  Yes, the telescope is the same but JL offer it at £99.95 with a Moon filter and an additional 175x magnification eyepiece. We don’t think the telescope's 60mm aperture requires a Moon filter and we are not confident it can support such a high magnification. We are however offering a bundle with Celestron's 2x barlow which increases magnification to 140x (Celestron say the telescope’s "Highest Useful Magnification” is 142x).
