About this product
Model: cel_firstscope_21024
Part Number: 21024
Introduce your kids to stargazing for around the cost of a video game!
The Celestron Firstscope is our most affordable telescope but don't be put off by it's low price. It is made by one of the biggest names in the business and was awarded 'Official Product of International Year of Astronomy 2009’. The 76mm (3") diameter Newtonian optics provide views brighter and clearer than the 60mm toy’s available in department stores.
Point it at the Moon and you will see craters, for a youngster starting astronomy that alone will provide a ‘WOW’ moment. Jupiter and its four brightest moons are also visible, Saturn's rings too, even under a light-polluted sky! If you are fortunate to live under a dark sky the brighter star clusters, nebulae and even galaxies are within reach.
Consider also the Special Edition Cometron FirstScope 76 which has the same optics but includes an optical finderscope and Kellner eyepieces.
