This Baader T-2/90° diagonal features a multi-coated prism inside a solid metal case.

Both sides have T-2 connection threads, resulting in an extremely short optical path of 35mm and a 32mm free aperture.

Weight 160g.

Note 1: This Baader diagonal with prism does not include a nosepiece or eyepiece holder. It features standard T/T-2 threads at the input face (the telescope side) and output face (the eyepiece side) which enables you to fit optional Baader Planetarium T-2 adapters and accessories according to your needs.

Note 2: Unlike diagonals with an Amici prism, this diagonal provides a view that is upright but left-right reversed.

Baader T2 32mm diagonal.

Great T2 prism diagonal from Baader which is invaluable when you are struggling with in focus. This makes it the ideal diagonal for binoviewing. Well made and can be used with a multitude of adapters and fittings. Delivered well packaged and speedily by FLO.

Using for solar - way less (none?) light scatter than my old mirror diagonal

Where do I start?! Firstly there's the "a Baader diagonal for £95 - surely there's a gotcha?"
Nope.

It's tiny compared to a 2" mirror diagonal. Once you add on the T2/2" adapters though it starts to resemble a regular diagonal.

I'm using this for visual solar with a Quark. The difference between my 15 year old William Optics 2" mirror diagonal and this prism is astonishing.
Space around the sun is no longer tinged red but pretty black. No scatter at all.

The light path of this prism is only 35mm which really helped with focus compared to the 145mm of my mirror diagonal.
Getting into the weeds here - a light weight crystal clear prism diagonal that suites my use-case perfectly.
