What can you say? You get what you pay for. Good quality, no detectable light scatter. Nice little addition to the scope.

I bought the takahashi diagonal along with a pair of astro essential plossl eyepieces while i was very impress by the eyepieces i was not so keen on the takahashi in fact could not hardly see any difference from my cheap skywatcher 45 degree erecting prism diagonal
the reason i ask if it is a prism or mirror?when you look thru the skywatcher diagonal the image in a refractor is the correct way up and right to left when you look thru the tak the image is the correct way up but reversed right to left as expected in a mirror diagonal years ago i had a 90 degree prism diagonal the image thru a refractor was correct way up and correct right to left that convince me the tak is a mirror not a prism because it behave the same as any mirror diagonal. You only get a reverse image thru a refractor by a mirror diagonal not a prism.In this day and age you can purchase a di-electric diagonal for around the same money which would easy beat the tak.
If you want to say you own a takahashi then go for it but if you want bettter performance for the same money then look elsewhere for a di-electric Diagonal or a proper prism diagonal that gives a correct way up and correct right to left like the StellaMira 90 degree prism diagonal i will keep it just for the sake of having a takahashi in my collection i just wished takahashi would advertise it correctly as a star diagonal and not a "PRISM" diagonal

Excellent quality optically! The housing is plastic, but it doesn't feel cheap. Overall a very high quality optical prism diagonal in a lightweight package.

Just about the best diagonal you can buy in this price range, although I personally would rather have two screws rather than a twist lock, but that is simply my preference not necessarily a negative.

On FLOs recommendation purchased for scopetech 80mm f12. 5 to get enough inward focus, clear and sharp,
I have the Tak turret with the same eyepiece clamps that are very secure when you have expensive eyepieces hanging from it,

Excellent diagonal for a refractor. This is my second TAK diagonal that I purchased for my AT102mmED. The first one I use in my SW100ED. Tried mirror diagonals, including dialectics and always seemed to see some glare and or scatter. Not so with the TAK prisms.

I bought this diagonal for my FC76-DCU, and it is lightweight and excellent quality, with crystal clear views with a variety of eyepieces. It was supplied without covers (as I had read online), but I leave it permanently on the telescope so do not find it an issue.

This is an excellent 1.25 prism diagonal really clear and light weight but very well constructed. Definitely recommend. Usual excellent service from FLO and fast delivery.

I bought this for use with my Tak Sky-90. Previously I have used a 2 inch mirror diagonal and often the Tak 1.6x extender. Both relatively large and heavy. I wanted to simplify and reduce the weight a bit for grab and go visual observing, which is my main use for this telescope. I can get up to 200x without the extender so a 1.25" diagonal would do most of the time under UK skies. I'm pleased to say the image quality is excellent. Good detail. No colour fringing on the lunar limb/terminator at 200x. Well made too as you might expect from Takahashi.

The way the Diagonal holds your eyepieces is excellent,
I've tried a few different designs, Like Baader Click Locks,
I could never feel fully confident they were properly engaged
without feeling the need to overtighten,,,

The Mech used on the Tak, is Excellent; It is silky smooth ,
engages with minimal pressure , and feels super secure.

I'm an engineering enthusiast / Amateur tinkerer , I was very well impressed
by this one particular aspect of the Takahashi 1.25" Multi-Coated Prism Diagonal...

I'm Just hoping they will scale up and release a 2 Inch version soon
