An optically-matched M48-fitting doublet field flattener for Sky-Watcher's Esprit 100 ED PRO triplet refractor. 

The M48 fitting provides a large clear aperture to reduce halation. A precision thread ensures the triplet and doublet lens groups are precisely aligned on the optical axis perpendicular to the image. 

The Esprit-100's imaging circle is 40 mm when used with the field flattener. 

Notes 

  • When fitting a DSLR camera, you need only an M48 Ring to suit your Canon, Nikon or Sony DSLR camera. No spacers are required.
  • The spacing for dedicated CCD imaging cameras is 55 mm from the mating surface (69.8 mm from centre of the rear element). 
  • The rear thread is M48. When using T-threaded accessories, you will need an Astro Essentials M48-T adapter.

Works Well with Sharpstar 94EDPH

I purchased this flattener to use my 94EDPH at its native 517mm (or so) focal length. I had tried a couple of other flatteners that left noticeable field curvature in the corners. The Esprit flattener has only a slight distortion in the corners, and this looks to be more a factor of imager tilt vs. the flattener itself.

The only issue I faced is both the flattener and the 94EDPH focuser have female threads, so I had to purchase a custom adapter. Overall, though, I can recommend this flattener.
