About this product
Part Number: PLLCG60
Premium quality 60mm compact finder / guide scope from Primaluce Lab.
Our 60mm CompactGuide scope is simultaneously both a finder that a guide scope! It offers, at a great price, with an achromatic lens 60mm diameter and 240mm focal length (f/4), PLUS 80mm support rings (each with 3 screws with nylon tip) and a non-rotary helical focuser with connection for 31,8mm accessories and fast focus adjustment to allow you to reach the focus point both with eyepieces (for use as a finder) and with guide cameras (for use as a small guide scope).
Designed for use with many guide cameras (which can be inserted in the 31.8mm focuser connection or screwed on the T2 thread of the focuser), it can be used as a great optical finder adding a 31,8mm diameter eyepiece! The 60mm CompactGuide scope has a precision helical focuser that keeps the orientation of the connected camera. In fact, by acting on the focus mechanism, the camera does not rotate and this feature is essential for proper use with autoguiding software. The precision helical focuser has a 10mm travel while the fast focus device (constituted by a sliding tube with lock screw) has a 23mm travel.
This guide scope has a diameter of 60mm and a focal length of 240mm (f/4) and it allows, with many cameras, to easily find guide stars. All in a lightweight and compact body that, thanks to PLUS guide rings, can be directly connected to any PLYS system or EAGLE unit using 2 screws for every ring, thus preventing flexures.

its a nice guidescope, but the micro movements (1:30 on the video) is almost impossible, maybe I got a dud.. you really have to pull it out with force to set it where you want, mine is NOT like the video where the man pulls it out with his fingers with ease, its as if mine has back pressure holding it, very stiff. Not the best quality with that regard. It would be nice for some documentation in the box, alas nothing. I guide it with an ASI 290mm mini, works fine with PHD2. You will need some dovetail bar to attach it, or make your own.

Only good for guide cams if you put a diagonal on this it won't foucus you can use it with an eyepiece but a diagonal pushes the eyepiece to far out to work
