Ioptron HAE43 Strain Wave AZ/EQ Mounting with iPolar

Ioptron have introduced a new range of Strain Wave Gear dual AZ/EQ mounts the HAE43 and HAE43EC (Encoder).

These lightweight compact medium payload titans will deliver an astronomy experience like never before. Imagine a mount head weighing in at less than 13lbs but with a payload capacity of 44lbs without needing a counterweight or shaft.

Utilising state of the art Strain Wave Gear technology on both the Ra and Dec axis the HAE43 delivers unparalleled weight to payload efficiency. The black anodised all metal CNC machined body is not only appealing to the eye it is a rigged platform that will perform at the highest level for many years to come.

Unique features such as an electronic friction break and power down memory allow the mount to safely stop and resume a Go To slew or continue tracking even after an abrupt power loss (no need to realign and start from the beginning).

The HAE43 mount can be controlled by a computer, either via ASCOM/Commander for a Windows PC or a third party INDI driver for MAC OS software, by smartphone/tablet via iOptron Commander lite or an APP like Sky Safari or even a Raspberry PI device via INDI driver.
