iOptron HAE43C EC Strain Wave AZ/EQ Mounting
iOptron have introduced a new range of Strain Wave Gear dual AZ/EQ mounts the HAE43 and HAE43EC (Encoder).
Keeping pace with the rapidly developing technology, the Ioptron HAE43 and HAE43EC mounts have evolved into the new "C" internal board versions.
All HAE dual SWG Alt-Az/EQ mounts have an internal main board and no longer require use with a handset.
The new "C" models have a USB port on the mount base and saddle that connects directly to the main board for mount control.
They also feature built-in Wi-Fi for connection to your choice of devices (computer, tablet, Smartphone, etc.). Users who want traditional handset control can purchase the optional 8411 GoToNova OLED Display Handset.
These lightweight, compact, medium payload titans will deliver an astronomy experience like never before. Imagine a mount head weighing less than 13 lbs but with a payload capacity of 44 lbs without needing a counterweight or shaft.
The HAE43C EC features a high-precision RA axis encoder that delivers incredible tracking accuracy, enough that many will choose to image “sans” guiding.
Utilising state-of-the-art Strain Wave Gear technology on both the Ra and Dec axes, the HAE43 delivers unparalleled weight-to-payload efficiency. The black anodised all-metal CNC machined body is a rugged platform that will perform at the highest level for many years.
Unique features such as an electronic friction break and power-down memory allow the mount to safely stop and resume a GoTo slew or continue tracking even after an abrupt power loss (there is no need to realign and start from the beginning).
The HAE43 mount can be controlled by a computer, either via ASCOM/Commander for a Windows PC or a third-party INDI driver for MAC OS software, by smartphone/tablet via iOptron Commander lite or an app like Sky Safari or even a Raspberry PI device via INDI driver.
