Model: iop_skyguider_proPart Number: 3550
Features include all-metal structure, 5kg payload, near silent tracking, illuminated polarscope (also compatible with iOptron iPolar) and an integrated Lithium-Ion Polymer rechargeable battery.
Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand yet offers high precision tracking.
The polar scope has been improved with a fine engraved reticule and adjustable illumination. Using iOptron's iOS app, quick and accurate polar alignment is a breeze.
Other features include an ST-4 guiding port and camera trigger port.
Supplied with a DEC mounting bracket, counterweight shaft and counterweight that enables you to more easily balance a heavy camera and lens or a compact refractor telescope (does not obstruct the polarscope).
The optional iOptron 8408 hand controller enables you to check the Pole Star position for polar alignment, slew the mount, adjust the guiding rate, change the mount settings and control the camera trigger.
The SkyGuider Pro features four tracking rates, 1x or sidereal, 1/2x for sky and landscape combined, solar and lunar. All four work in both northern and southern hemispheres. IOptron have also added a quick slew mode with both forward and reverse to help you quickly reframe your image without disrupting the cameras position.
Significant improvements have been made to the removable alt-azimuth base, which features a convenient bubble level, degree markings for altitude and a built in post for azimuth control. You can also mount the SkyGuider Pro head (without the base) directly to any standard photographic tripod with 1/4” or 3/8” threads.

Great piece of equipment. Easy to line up and use. Great build quality yet light enough to be portable.Having looked at all the alternatives before buying I'm really glad I went for the Ioptron 👍.FLO - Great service I have used since the 90s. Thank you
Not only was it a lot cheaper to purchase this tracker in the UK, than in Australia, I am blown away how quick it arrived!. Ordered on Thursday night, and by Tue morning it was on my doorstep in Canberra, Australia - that's 2 1/2 business days! I've never had anything delivered from overseas this fast, and normally it even takes longer within Australia. It's the FLO and DHL combo (British diligence, German efficiency). I haven't put the SkyGuider to the test yet, but it seems to work. I have also added a QHY Polemaster for easier polar aligning, as manually aligning in the Southern Hemisphere is almost impossible, especially in light polluted skies. Can't wait to start photographing.
Just received my tracker from flo today, which came in a very large box and was well packaged. The tracker looks very well made, with instructions. I look forward to trying it out. The service that I got from flo was again first class.
I bought this to get me started during the pandemic when a lot of the large mounts where out of stock, Polar alignment is easy when you use an app to show you where to place Polaris and once setup I was getting very good accuracy tracking the stars with no trails. The camera mounting plate isnt the best when you have to rotate it but once locked in place it is solid. you do need a good solid tripod though, at first I was using it with a light weight camera tripod which did introduce trails if I went anywhere near it, but once on a solid tripod it was great. I have now managed to get a EQ6R Pro but I still don't want to let this one go, great bit of kit. And as usual great service from FLO
I bought this as the wait for my Celestron 9.25” SCT entered the third month with not even an ETA. It’s a great little tracker and I managed to polar align, track and accurately auto guide (in RA only of course) the first time I’ve tried to do this ever. 3 min images showed no trailing. I was using the unit on an Amazon basics mount without the base unit (so polar alignment was by tiny tweaks to the tripod legs/feet!) I got the best images I’ve taken so far (of M51) and very happy with it - also lots of credit to the ASIair Pro that made it all a lot easier. When the iOptron tripod (the £139 one) is in stock I will definitely add this and the WO wedge (based on reviews) to make polar alignment simpler and the whole thing more robust/stable.Great work by FLO by the way, who combined the items that were in stock from various orders and everything arrived within 24 hours.
FLO living up to the good reviews I have seen.Setting up mount was super easy on my tripod, even for a new to astronomy/astrophotography like me,. Polar aligning will take some practice (and contortions as I am at 56 degrees North). Only downside i found was that, whilst balancing in RA axis was easy, once my DSLR with the 18-55mm lens was positioned aiming at my target and releasing the clutch, i couldnt get it to balance. All in all I am more than happy with this and am looking forward to getting some great results
Great service from FLO, as always. The Skyguider Pro is really neat, compact and easy to set up. On the first clear night after receiving it I was able to take trail-less 2 min exposures of Orion with my Redcar51. Really pleased with this star tracker, and I’m looking forward to taking it on my travels in the (hopefully) near future.
After cancelling 1 order and putting another order in for the IOptron Skyguider Pro, I had a very good service from F.L.O. There was no if or buts it was straight on . The unit itself is well made and robust so now I'm just waiting for starry nights to use it. So its well done to the team at F.L.O.
I am very happy with the Ioptron skyguider pro. very easy to set up. Has a built in illuminated polar finder is great. The guiding works well- it is only in RA which is just fine on-the-go. Charges using a smartphone plug or PC - this is a nice touch and saves £££ on batteries. Solid build, sturdy and well made. All in all a very nice piece of kit. If you want a portable tracking mount for your smaller telescope or DSLR this is the one for you - perfect.
