An excellent pier to heighten the tripod, especially if you are considering using a refractor telescope. The only problem I faced with the mini pier was the adjusting, leveling screws, fitting into the pier. The threads on the pier was so tight that I had to brush out dust and some paint to make them fit. They still are tight, but workable with a little drop of oil. Reason for 4 stars.

Bought this for my CEM40 mount, and not long after first use, I notice a bit of wobble in the scope & mount head. Tracked it down to the relatively lightweight fixings holding the top plate to the cylindrical pier tube. I think this is an iOptron design issue, as I had the same problem with the pier-top on the CEM70 tripod. Anyway, it can be remediated if you use a tap to cut the 3 fixing bolt & threads out to a larger diameter bolt which are better suited to the job. I see iOptron have now released a different pier-head design for several of their mounts. I'd avoid this and go for those if the reviews are good.
Note: FLO were happy to swap out the pier, but I figured a replacement would have the same issue, so opted for fixing it myself.
