The Rotarion Solar is a new kit based around the Rotarion 1.25"/2" Eyepiece Wheel and Rotarion Photo system that allows you to rotate between 4 DayStar Quark eyepieces for high-resolution solar imaging in multiple bandwidths.

At FLO, we have been using one of these in our remote solar observatory in Spain for some time. The Rotarion Solar has enabled us to image remotely in four different wavelengths with simplicity, accuracy and 100% reliability. The kit solves many of the issues of achieving such a setup - a crystal dome prevents dust build-up and protects the optics. A shutter system prevents light leakage when imaging, positional accuracy is maintained, ensuring perfect position and accurate flats calibration and cable snags and powering the Quarks is solved with a custom, retractable power adapter which neatly provides 12v to 5v power to each Quark, ensuring it heats up quickly and reliably.

If you contact us, we will happily help you assemble a complete package, pre-assembled and tested with Quarks. And, if you already own the Quarks, we can install them or work with you to complete your setup and achieve the correct spacing. We work with Solar imaging expert Gary Palmer to test and tune each Rotarion Solar setup.
