The CEM26 mount's Centre-Balanced design positions payload weight at the centre of gravity for increased natural stability. 

Features include precise whisper quiet stepper motors, hi-res encoders on the RA axis (periodic error < ± 0.3 arc seconds RMS), Real Time Period Error Correction (RTPEC), large easy to use quick-lock gear clutches, built-in WiFi for easy connectivity and iPolar electronic polar finder. 

The CEM26 is also equipped with the latest advanced Go2Nova® 8409 with 212,000 object database & star identification. The Go2Nova® Hand Controller is intuitive to use and its large 4-line LCD screen simplifies the process of setting telescopes and locating objects.

Includes a hard case with custom-fit foam padding to hold the mount in place and cushion it from impacts. The exterior has reinforced edges on the outside to help minimise denting and damage. There are dual trigger latches to secure the lid in place, and a carry handle.

First up the usual big shout out to FLO (Alex) for the excellent service and advice!
I read a lot of reviews about the iOptron mounts before finally pulling the trigger on the CEM26EC. Some reviews were bad, some good. Given that most of the complaints were due to backlash or play in the mounts axes or tracking/goto issues. I began to search for solutions to the aforementioned issues... these mounts have user adjustable spring loaded worm gears that mesh with the main ring gear and most people had solved their issue by simply adjusting them (in most cases tightening them up). Personally I like the idea that the user is able to this, normally it would be off to the manufacturer for a full mount strip down and service. So I really like the ioptron design, it's well thought out and a positive move away from conventional clutches on the axes that always seem to slip or suffer from binding when released. No such issue with the ioptron! As it was, my mount arrived perfectly adjusted from FLO with RA and DEC axes running very smoothly. I was able to achieve easily 2 minute subs with 1200mm focal length out of the box! with no guiding and no PEC training the RA. I'd say thats pretty darn good. Build quality is excellent, Polar alignment is a breeze with iPolar (i was sceptical at first) getting used to a centre weighted mount was no issue. Just be sure to follow the instructions to the letter and avoid putting strain on the gears during setup. Take extra special care installing the battery into the Hand Controller, a lot of people are getting this wrong it seems. Anyway, I'm waffling now... Very Very pleased with the Mount!
