MKS5000 circuit boards are not waterproof. Don't ask me how I know this.

A circuit board with the footprint of a paperback book arrived in a huge outer carton. Still I suppose it kept it dry in transit. Access to the board on the mount was straightforward. It was surprisingly difficult to get the cables snag free and it was a somewhat frustrating task but one I don't intend to repeat. Setting the motor angles was not very hard.

I suspect, although I have not weighed it, that quite literally the board is worth its weight in gold; hence the 3 star review. I don't blame First Light Optics for this since they have to pay a lot for the boards. Nor do I especially blame Software Bisque who say they find the components difficult and expensive to buy and in any event have one over a barrel.
