Dual Narrowband Filter for One Shot Colour / DSLR Imaging - Simultaneously Capture H-alpha, H-beta and Oxygen III
The relentless spread of urbanisation and its associated light pollution have become a growing problem for all amateurs and astro photographers. The current solutions to the problem can be expensive and might include the purchase of a monochrome camera, several types of narrowband filters and a filter wheel.
L-eNhance provides an economical and practical solution for amateurs. It is a dual-band pass filter which has been designed for DSLR (digital SLR), colour CMOS and CCD cameras. The convenience and cost effectiveness of this filter allows amateurs to image a rich selection of astronomical images, even in bright, heavily light-polluted areas.
Optolong believes the design of our L-eNhance filter is a technical innovation among filters. It effectively isolates the H-Alpha, H-Beta, and Oxygen III nebula emission lines and achieves a maximum transmission of up to 90%. The performance of this filter delivers images that superbly control the impact from light polluted skies.
The EOS-C Clip-in filter is compatible with all Canon EOS APS-C cameras except APS-S lenses.
- High transmission of H-Alpha, H-Beta and Oxygen III emission lines (avg. 90% or higher)
- Use with colour DSLR, CMOS and CCD Cameras
- 1.25" or 2" Mounted & EOS-C Clip-in Filter.
- Supplied in a protective plastic case with EVA foam lining
- More than 150 coating layers on B270 glass.
- 1.85mm Thick Glass
- Fine-optically polished on both sides - ensures accurate λ/4 wavefront and <30 seconds parallelism over the both surfaces
- Ultrasonic wave cleaned substrate with purified water - Cleanup by 13 stage purified water tank to remove impurities and dust effectively
- Ion source assisted coating— For durability and resistance to scratching, as well as stability on CWL (central wavelength) - no deviation affected by temperature change
- Stringent quality testing process - each filter is tested on a spectrophotometer and laser interferometer
White Line - Represents the transmission curve of the L-eNhance Filter.

After a simple red structure transformation, the effect of SHO Hubble colour can also be simulated. Compared with the previous narrow band filters of Ha, SII and OIII, L-eNhance filter is a good substitution. So-called one filter is multi-purpose, it's worth to have ~!

Quick delivery as always.
This filter has made a big difference, I re-did the bubble nebula as I had 9 hours before hand with a different filter. I did 3 hours with this filter and it totally blew me away. I'm in a bortle 6 would definitely recommend this one.

These filters are absolutely amazing. Iíve recently switched over from a dslr to a dedicated astronomy camera and was amazed at what the camera could pull but when I put this filter on it literally blew my mind. I trained my scope onto the crescent nebula and took 30x120s now normally I was just getting the outer top edge of this nebula, with this filter and just 30 frames it pulled the whole nebula out and with some of the outer membrane stuff(technical term) my latest project is ABELLA 39 at MAG 13 I didnít think I would get much but even in the first sub I could clearly see it.. this filter is worth every penny.
Optolong l-Enhance light pollution filter

This filter is a major advance in technology for astrophotographers living in light polluted skies. It enables you to take long exposure images and only lets in the light that distant nebula and galaxies emit, cutting out all the man made light like sodium street lights, security lights etc.
I don't really know the technicalities of how it does this, but only know that it works and I can finally get decent images from my home in London

In the last two weeks, skies permitting, I have used this (2 inch) filter out the front where I have a wider sky view but with a couple of street lights. It has been used with an old Pentax 50mm 1.7 lens (with homemade dew shield) and Pentax gps astrotracker set at 50 second exposure on iso 6400. I would say I am no expert in astrophotography but merely someone who makes attempts with many frustrations. I am most definitely happy to have this filter - it is well worth the money. A 50mm lens is for wide images - even so I can say there is no trouble at 50 seconds in picking up Barnards Loop, M42, nebulosity to east and south of Zeta Orionis, and even The Seagull Nebula area (with a street lamp quite near). Cassiopeia, the other area I have concentrated on, from Gamma across to IC1848/1805/1795 - the nebulosity shows well along with the part of the galaxy arm in the area. This filter is a real pleasure - I just want to stay out there all night and shows great potential when I try it on a telescope at the back overlooking fields.
2nd awesome purchase from First Light Optics - Optolong L-enhance 2Ē

This is my second purchase from First Light Optics. I am truly impressed with their customer service, promptness of shipping and amazing prices. If the item is being shipped outside of the UK you will see the real price once you add it to your cart. You will be pleasantly surprised when you see the price. Of course, having the item shipped to Canada does take a few days longer and FLO is upfront with that. The product was factory sealed in a well packed box. So far, due to weather I have not used the item. Many positive comments are given by YouTube astrophotographers. Looking forward to more purchases from FLO.

Still early days, but Iíve used this a few nights with my Canon 100D (Astro) on a RedCat51, and it certainly darkens the background to improve the SNR. Still getting used to the whole combo, but it should let me image emission nebula even when the moon is quite full.
