excellent for moon and planets with a 10mm or 20mm ep any less and your struggling to see, less contrast, good for single stars and doubles but not good for star clusters, they appear dull. handy for putting Dslr camera straight on the back with appropriate "T" ring and i have had some good pictures of the moon. i use this has my grab and go scope, tri pods a bit wobbly, and eq1 head is adequate, but the worm gears especially the dec one is a bit ropey. Holds collimation well with stars 99% pin sharp, you will need a dew shield deffo, i made one out of two mouse mats. Also scope good for terrestrial veiws of birds and planes etc.
