Doing visual and sketching with my fork mounted 100 x 20/40 binoculars very soon became uncomfortable due to the stooping stance required
at the eyepiece. Recent back pain issues pushed me towards an observing chair which turned out to be a good solution. I can now get
comfortable at the eyepiece and take time to observe and sketch. I ordered the chair without the footrest but found after a hour or so
having no support for the legs became uncomfortable. I did not order the footrest because I thought that it would interfere with the tripod
legs at certain positions which would mean that I would have to sit at an angle. It turned out that the footrest is much more compact than the
seat and therefore allows optimum positioning of the seat frame position for all objects. Also makes getting on and off the seat easy when
the seat is at height.

I couldn’t have imagined spending that much money on an observing chair not so long ago, but my birthday is coming up and I have all the astronomy kit I need (sorry FLO) when asked to choose something nice a chair seemed like a good idea. Oh my is that thing comfortable and very easy and effective in the field. It just oozes quality, think Danish mid century furniture. Anyway I highly recommend this chair. My foot rest which is an optional extra arrives this morning with the usual FLO speed and generally great service FLO deliver, the kind we have all gotten used too.

Typical Berlebach build. Just oozes quality. Very easy to adjust and a good range of height settings. I find the seat to be comfortable to use and very steady. Next day delivery from FLO. Great service as always

Bought a Nix and the footrest. Beautiful quality but the seat could be deeper and better padded, thus it loses a star.
