About this product
Includes 2” SCT flange.
Premium quality direct-replacement thread-on focuser fits smaller SCTs that have a standard 2" threaded back, such as the Meade 8" and Celestron 8" and 9 1/4".
Simply thread onto the telescope's rear visual back then rotate to the desired position and lock in place if required.
Silky-smooth Crayford Tri-Knob dual speed focuser with Shaft-lock. The Shaft Lock mechanism is a unique mini brass compression ring clamp that allows the user to lock the shaft without deflecting the drawtube. This type of focus lock is much better than the traditional thumb-screw-against-the-draw-tube style that shifts the image when clamped.
Fine-focus 8 to 1 reduction system uses an inline all ball-bearing planetary design with zero backlash and no image shift.
Highly polished hard anodised bearing riding surfaces for an extremely smooth focus action and a 6 lb load capacity.
Non marring compression rings both on 2” drawtube nosepiece and 1.25” eyepiece adapter.
.95" travel draw-tube with FR thread (to fit a 0.63x focal reducer into the focuser you will need an optional taller flange which can be purchased later if required).
The ultimate upgrade for your SCT!

just installed on my C8 SCT - easy as pi. I have 3,25 focuser on my C11 SCT and it has been excellent - except the controller which developed a sloppy output socket and had to be replaced
It’s mooniite - no further comment required

What can you say about moonlite focuser that people don’t already know. They’re awesome, solidly built quality pieces of kit that will add to any setup.
Mine was for C9.25 and it couldn’t have been simpler to fit. I just screwed it straght on to the visual back and am now eating clear skies to collimate the focuser and OTA. I have no doubt that it will cope fine with the 2x TV powermate/ZWO ADC and ZWO ASI224MC I intend to put on it.
I have paired my focuser with the moonlite DC motirfocuser unit also and wholeheartedly recommend this simple addition if you want better control over focusing and elimination of vibrations. Particularly useful when doing planetary imaging to ensure you maximise on those rare moments of better seeing.
