The extra light grasp along with 20x mag makes all the difference. M13 no longer a grey smudge, able to start making out stars, the double cluster sparkles and looking into the milky way reveals so many more stars. Ideal if you are in a city, my skies are bortle 7 and horrible light pollution. Looking forward to many nights gazing through them to pass the time whilst photographing deep sky targets.
Build quality is great , easily gripped no slipping. Tripod or monopod a must, 3kg OK for very short periods, really needs a tripod for best results. they do not dissapoint.

Have been really pleased and impressed with these binoculars, especially for the price - very well made and give crystal clear visuals. I use them for astronomy and they let in plenty of light to get nice crisps images at night. Coupled with a standard tripod, these have been brilliant for observing the moon and I've even been able to make out some of Jupiter's moons.

The binoculars arrived very well packaged, I found the case not that bad to open, I just unzipped the outer case and pulled the inner case which contained the binoculars out, they are strapped in with a velcro strap and a elasticated strap so they cannot move, I have a horizon 8115 tripod which is excellent to hold this size of binoculars, I have had them for over a week now but the first really clear night to test them was last night 24/10/2021, the first object I looked at was of course Jupiter, after letting the binoculars cool down for about an hour the giant planet was very clear and I could detect some banding on the planet also four moons were sharp pin points, the moon was just rising so that was my next target it was very crisp I couldn't detect any colour fringing (ca) at the edges.
Overall I am very pleased with my purchase, I initially bought them as a grab and go, also to take on holiday in my caravan to save taking my scopes but I think I will be using them a lot more than that.

Due to my location and they usual weather problems in the UK, my observing is fairly infrequent, so I was looking for a nice grab and go solution so I can take advantage of the rare gaps in the clouds. I've already got some Canon 10X30 IS and they're superb, but I was after something with increased magnification and light gathering abilities. After reading many, many reviews, I decided on the Opticron 20x80's and am delighted with them. They're actually far lighter than I imagined. Still tricky to hand-hold and I'm mostly using mine with a tripod and pistol-grip head which gives me a nice stable platform. The first thing I took a look at when the clouds broke was the Orion Nebula. It's nicely placed in the sky for me and, honestly, with these binoculars, I had the most stunning view of them I've ever seen with my own eyes. I have a couple of small telescopes, but these binoculars provided a stunning view that exceeded those provided by my scopes.

The weather hasn't been too kind to me, as is traditional when buying new astro kit, but I've very much enjoyed exploring what I can see, spotting some lovely doubles. The Pleiades look absolutely magical, and nicely placed with Mars right now. I've mounted a Rigel finder to the top of mine, with the bracket held in place with a couple of cable-ties. This makes finding objects in the sky an absolute breeze.

Looking forward to some better viewing conditions, but in the meantime I can thoroughly recommend these. I've also just purchased the optional 2x adapter, enabling one eyepiece to become a monocular of sorts, with 40x magnification. I've not had a chance to try it in dark skies yet, but it was very impressive when I tried it on terrestrial objects.

Before we get to the binoculars I want to say a massive thank you to FLO for answering my initial questions and for the suggestions and help, made the whole experience of moving into the hobby easy, will be back for a telescope soon.

Back to the binoculars, I bought them as a way into stargazing, as a total novice I wanted binoculars so I could start viewing with little set up and very little technical know how required, some research later and I decided these were the ones to go for and I’m glad I did. Fantastic views of the moon to start off then sweeping the sky to see stars I didn’t know where there. For me they are a great entry into stargazing and I would recommend the binoculars and FLO. I would also say a tripod is a must with these as they are a weighty item. Thanks again to the team at FLO.

Speedy delivery with excellent protective packaging. Bought principally for for wide angel deep sky astronomy but also very effective for nature rambles giving wonderfully sharp detailed views of targets at extreme range. Quite heavy but not impossibly so with a good carrying case but you will definitely need a decent tripod for extended viewing. At this price I doubt that the quality could be bettered, optically fine with a very small amount of spherical aberration in the outer 25 % of the field of view that is of no consequence and mechanically robust sufficient to become a family heirloom. Great item

Lightweight, but robust; large, but easily handheld for short periods of time. Optically surprisingly good considering the price - sharpness is equal in almost whole of view field, and I was so far not able to detect any chromatic aberration. I would recommend it for astronomy as well as for terrestrial observation.

When compared side-by-side with a number of 20x80s from Celestron, Omegon and other brands, the Oregon performs very well. Very good central sharpness, wide sweet spot, very acceptable off-axis sharpness, bright image, easy eye placement. Image shows a slight reddish / pinkish tint, nothing dramatic, though. For its price, the Oregon is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.
