This eyepiece ( 10mm XW) is so good. There are multiple reasons for this.

firstly, the eye relief is a must for people like me who need glasses on.
secondly, If you happen to have a mount that vibrates/wobbles every time you touch it, this eyepiece allows for me to observe say a planet, from afar without having to press your eye socket on the eyepiece.
I also have a baader mark IV zoom. a very nice versatile eyepiece but also doesn't compare with the greatnesses of this eyepiece. especially when used with cheaper telescopes such as a Newtonian 5" last but not least the image sharpness and brightest is beautifully clear. it's so clear that its like looking out of a window.

my only complaint would be two things: to adjust the eyepiece , it takes a long time to twist . so that would be cumbersome if you happen to alternate the views with a partner or friend, it would take a couple of seconds to adjust. Finally, the cap, its nice and flush, although it's Achilles heal is that it's thin and can pop off easily if not placed correctly. even more trouble if you are on a patio as it being thin, the cover can fall between the wood you're standing on.

Overall I'm extremely satisfied and wouldn't let the con's stop me from buying another one later in the future so that I can use it as a bino-viewer. I would rate this a 4.7 Star eyepiece.

Bought this eyepiece because it has long eye relief (20 mm) and relatively large field of view. I have used it with a Tak FC-100, Vixen SD81S, Vixen A80M and Celestron C8 on moon, planets, double stars and DSOs.

Performance is excellent, producing excellent sharpness and contrast, and aberrations are extremely well controlled. Also, the eyepiece has an excellent quality feel to it. Highly recommended.
