Took a whilr but great item

Must have taken the slowest boat around the world but it finally arrived

Fitted straight into my mount, the instructions are very clear regarding aligning, just follow them carefully
TIP fit a magnet to your allen key or tie a hankie or something underneath to catch the grub screw, you will drop it at some stage, luckily found with magnet

Even got the writing the correct way up, will try aligning when the clouds dissapear

Polar Axis Scope
15 April 2019  |

Fitted to my Celestron AVX I achieved my best alignment and tracking, however at my location of 53 degrees it is awkward to use with my setup. I would also like the option of it being illuminated as I found it necessary to use my small red torch during the initial alignment. But in conclusion it works.

excellent product need to change large screw on the AVX mount as you cant get your head in to see when in position a believe a 12mm 80mm bolt will suffice for my latitude. packed well but I would prefer a green solution to the green poly worms.

Poor design for UK
15 February 2016  |

While the basic design of the polar scope is good, you will find that the AVX latitude adjustment bolt prevents you putting your head in a position to see through the scope when used at UK latitudes. A solution is to use a shorter (M12x80mm) bolt. They wouldn't have encountered this problem in Torrance CA (latitude 34 degrees)!
