I bought this for my AZ100 and was not disappointed. The mounting flange attaches to the AZ100 perfectly, and then the counterweight shaft screws into the flange perfectly. No flex at all when sliding my counterweight at the end. I have decided to also get the AZ100 counterweight shaft because this was longer than needed for what I will mount on my AZ100, but if I do want to achieve perfect balance with my typical 7.5 kg load, this one bar with one counterweight will suffice. But if the best pointing accuracy is not required, the counterweight when the weight is under 12 kg is not absolutely necessary as long as the mount and tripod are still stable.

I purchased one of these with my AZ 100 mount. As with all Roman Astronomy products it is very well made. At the time of ordering I did not realise that this counter weight shaft can be screwed directly into the Roman vixen Losmandy saddle so I could have saved £40 on on another saddle for the opposite side. Never mind you live and learn. On saying that I would probably never use two scopes at the same time. Quality product.
