This is the stainless steel counterweight bar extension supplied as standard with Sky-watcher NEQ6 mounts.

Enables you to balance telescopes up to 10" on an EQ6 mount without excessive counterbalance weight.

It does fit the newer HEQ5 Pro
Tuesday, 31 August 2021  |

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Counterweight Bar Extension for Sky-Watcher NEQ6 does fit the HEQ5 Pro. My HEQ5 Pro was purchased in 2021 so I don't know how far back in years it goes before something changed or if it ever did change. I can just say it fits the newer version like it was made for it. I also purchased this from the US and FLO was fast on shipping and I had no issues with shipping journey to me. Matter of fact I could not even get it within the US and FLO had it and now I can use my new 10" Newtonian.

Excellent service

Having brought all my equipment to a dark sky site in France, I realised I'd left the extension bar behind. Easily sorted after a helpful email response. No problem with delivery abroad.

Q1. Will this fit a HEQ5 mount?

It won't fit older HEQ5 mounts but will fit some newer models. Check the diameter of your existing shaft and if it's 18mm and the thread on the end is M12 then it should work.
