About this product

Model:  enhanced_dualmotoreq32
Part Number:  20300

Sky-Watcher’s new dual-axis motor drive with enhanced hand controller is essential for long-exposure astrophotography and a useful accessory for visual astronomy.

It precisely controls the mount's tracking speed to compensate for Earth's rotation during long exposures.

The new enhanced handset has an ST4 interface for an Auto-Guider, such as Sky-Watcher’s own Synguider, and features SOLAR, LUNAR and SIDEREAL tracking rates plus selectable adjustment rates of 0.5x, 2x and 16x.

The hand controller also has a convenient facility to invert the direction of the UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT buttons so the directions on the handset can match those you see through the telescope.

Designed for use in northern and southern hemispheres.

The DC motor drive runs on 4 "D" cell batteries (not included).

Includes motors for both R.A. and DEC axes, motor cables, enhanced hand controller and battery pack.

Note: Once fitted you will no longer be able to use the slow-motion controls and will need to use the motor control to move manually.

It looks as a good tracking gear
19 October 2022  |

It just to arrive to my home, it looks very well and in good general conditions. The instalation on my Orion Astroview EQ-3 was a bit tricky, but at the end I can do it. Just need test it on field, we will sew how it goes.

Useful accessory

Very easily fitted in no time at all. I like the way dec motor is easily overriden. Handset well made.

It works fine on CG4 Omni
06 September 2019  |

Just to confirm the item is suitable for cg4 omni too; not full stars because there is no possibility to move manually the RA axis and the DEC motor shields the reference of the DEC graduated ring

Made Astro photography do much bette
29 April 2018  |

I wish I'd bought these earlier in my Astro photography journey, I've now been able to nail 50 sec exposures and got some great images. Easy to install and operate. I did buy a separate rechargeable lead acid battery as the DD were proving expensive.

Great tracking poor guiding
03 October 2015  |

The tracking is excellent, but, I have tried to guide 3 times now and only got past calibration once. The reason being I think is the Dec motor has so much delay reversing phd thinks it's backlash. Thus I'd save some quids and get the normal motor kit
