The Takahashi Extender 1.7XR converts the FOA-60 telescope to the FOA-60Q, resulting in a final focal length of 901 mm and a focal ratio of F15.  

When using this extender, the Strehl ratio of the telescope is over 99% across almost the entire visible spectrum.  This allows the FOA60 to become capable of working at magnifications well in excess of what would normally be recommended.

A very fine product. Easy to install and just like the description says, allows ridiculously high magnification for a tiny 60mm aperture (seeing permitting) The Takahashi FOA 60 at 530mm is an excellent scope, with the extender it on another level. The FOA Q with Tak 1.25” prism diagonal is just under 25” length. It’s classic refractor feel without the excessive physical length.

It was easy to order from First Light and fast shipping. Very pleased with the buying experience.
