TeleGizmos Warranty

TeleGizmos 365-series covers are warranted for one year from date of delivery including all labor and material. If your cover fails due to either a manufacturing or material defect, TeleGizmos will repair or replace the cover during this warranty period. Proof of purchase required. This warranty is fully transferable but does not include normal wear and tear.

TeleGizmos 365-series are the BEST telescope covers money can buy!

Suitable for 127-152mm / 5-6" Refractors on Equatorial Mounts. 152cm / 60" major top line, 152cm / 60" major height.

The TeleGizmos 365 series are designed for severe weather protection.

Features an inner layer of aluminised material for radiant heat protection coupled to an outer cover of highly water, UV and mildew-resistant acrylic coated woven polyester. This combination of materials provides years of protection, even when used outside 24/7, 365-days a year.

The outer material also offers high strength and abrasion resistance with less than 1% shrinkage or stretch.

Tested in some of the harshest US environments, including the desert southwest, Florida Keys, Colorado @ 8000 feet and the Texas Hill country, the 365 Series has proven itself capable of handling all types of weather.

NOTE: The cover does an excellent job of keeping out the weather but cannot eliminate condensation (the buildup of condensation is sometimes mistaken for a leak). This is true for all telescope covers. So the telescope must be allowed to dry after each use, before applying the cover. If the telescope is used only rarely and/or your area is prone to dew (i.e. in a valley or near a body of water), we recommend you occasionally remove the cover to let the telescope dry.

Premium quality
05 March 2023  |

So first off, I did buy an oversized one for my current setup but this is just to future proof for a larger refractor. I’m glad I did as it does cover most of the tripod too and falls short of the ground by about 10cm so it can still have some airflow whilst keeping accessories attached to the tripod legs safe from the elements. The quality of the materials are great, a good thickness and a good weight, not too light but not too heavy. Easy to handle on and off the rig once you get used to it and the bottom built in tie cord helps secure it although I still wrapped the excess cord around a leg to help from it becoming undone. The supplied extra cord is also useful, as it does help in taking up slack in the middle which in turn prevents the cover becoming a bit of a sail if windy. The idea of it was that I could set the rig up outside early in the day, cover it from the elements as it was forecast for a 27% chance of rain prior to clear skies for an evening session. I’m glad I did, as it was quite a short but heavy downpour and I’m pleased to say the rig was bone dry. All in all, very pleased and worth the investment. Thanks Flo for your advice and suggestions on which size I required. Always a great service.

Very robust scope cover
10 February 2020  |

I use this to cover a Skywatcher EQ6-R mount and tripod, kept outside, while the telescope (a Skywatcher Esprit 120 mm) is kept inside. When I want to use the telescope its a quick job to remove the scope cover and carry the telescope out to the mount. The cover has taken heavy rain and high winds over the winter and has kept the mount and tripod dry and clean. Spiders have been found nesting on the mount and on one occasion, after a frost, I found that a small amount of condensation had formed on it. However these are very minor problems. Using the cover means that I can leave the very heavy EQ6-R mount and tripod set up outside, aligned, and ready to go.
