Acuter Solarus 80 Solar Telescope and Mount Outfit
The Acuter Solarus-80 is an 80mm solar telescope with a safe, permanently mounted white light solar filter of glass construction.
Designed for safe white light solar observing of sunspots, solar eclipses, solar surface details and the transit of inner planets across the Sun.
It features a built-in rotating filter wheel, complete with pre-installed filters to view the sun in different colours. It also has a smartphone camera adaptor for taking photos using your smartphone.
The outfit includes a technologically innovative Auto-Tracking Solar Go-To/Auto-Tracking Mount mount. The clever mount is user-friendly and provides a safe experience for automatically locating and observing the sun with your telescope. Roughly level the tripod and point the solar telescope anywhere to the left of the sun, and let the Solar Alignment Technology automatically do the rest!
At the single push of a button, the telescope will be auto-levelled, and the mount, via GPS data fixing, will calculate the sun's altitude based on the time and location. The telescope will then be pointed to the correct altitude, and the mount will slew clockwise, hunting for the Sun. The solar sensor will detect the sun, lock it onto it, and then silently track it as it moves across the sky, keeping it within the eyepiece's field of view.

The Acuter Solarus-80 conforms to and meets the transmission requirements of ISO 12312-2:2015 (Filters for the direct observation of the Sun). Always use in accordance with the instructions.
