The eQuinox can be set up in a few seconds, and, within minutes, you can explore numerous deep-space objects. Observe and navigate space using any smartphone or tablet (even if your device is outside, while you enjoy the cosy comforts of home). Easily share your experience with others: Up to 10 people at once can observe space while their smartphone or tablet is connected to the eQuinox.
Enhanced Vision is patented proprietary technology that allows a live observation of faint objects thanks to the live accumulation of the light we receive from them. Galaxies, nebulae and comets finally become visible, colourful and detailed.
Depending on observing conditions (light pollution, moon phase, weather, etc…) and the objects you are pointing, it can take from a few seconds to several tens of seconds for you to start seeing the beautiful colours and shapes of galaxies and nebulae normally invisible, even through the eyepiece of a large conventional telescope.
The eVscope eQuinox ensures more time exploring space and less time setting up or calibrating. Our system instantly recognizes the objects in its field of view by comparing what it sees with a coordinates database of tens of millions of stars. This allows the eQuinox automated tracking and pointing system to be extremely accurate and easy to use, making it by far the most user-friendly telescope on the market.
Autonomous Field Detection also allows it to inform you about what you are observing (distance from the Earth, etc.).
Light pollution renders celestial objects invisible to the human eye and conventional ‘direct-view’ telescopes, because the human brain cannot filter, process and prioritize light sources. Even cameras and computers are challenged by light pollution, which creates “noise” on images, blurs objects and distorts shapes. It can be challenging or impossible to create crisp, beautiful images when you are faced with light pollution.
Unistellar’s proprietary software mitigates the impact of light pollution and allows for distant objects to be observed in crisp detail, even from bright inner-city environments. For each observation, Unistellar’s technology swiftly identifies background light, then automatically filters and removes this unwanted light, delivering the best possible image parameters and results. Users benefit from more precise images with better contrasts and colors, regardless of the level of brightness of the sky (urban light pollution, moonlight).

Carefully designed to fit snuggly to the eVscope 2, and of a similar size to a 50L hiking backpack, a the Unistellar backpack makes it extremely easily to transport both the eVscope 2 and its tripod, allowing astronomy to become nomadic.
The backpack is made of tough reinforced fabric, and carefully padded with high-density foam to protect the telescope from any shock. It also includes a removable rain shield.
With conventional telescopes, faint objects such as nebulae and galaxies are only barely recognisable as faint spots of light. With the eVscope you can simply activate the live stacking. The telescope then shows not only the image from a single moment, but collects light over longer periods of time. After just a few seconds you will see your observing target like through no other telescope of this size. You can watch live as the image becomes more intense and more distinct over the course of a few minutes. The colours and structures of the observing target become clearly recognisable.
The Newtonian telescope with a 114mm aperture and 450mm focal length has a fast aperture ratio of f/4. So a particularly bright image lands on the sensor. The parabolic primary mirror creates an image without spherical and chromatic aberrations. The Bahtinov mask integrated into the dust cap makes focusing child's play. Even without experience and prior knowledge, you get a sharp image in just a few simple steps. The eVscope includes a Sony IMX224 sensor in place of a secondary mirror. This CMOS sensor is also used in many highly sensitive astro cameras because of its very low readout noise. The image captured by the sensor is processed by the eVscope and displayed on your smartphone or tablet.
In cooperation with SETI you can contribute to scientific discoveries and become part of a global network of eVscope telescopes. The image data from your eVscopes helps scientists with the exploration of supernovae, comets and asteroids.

I bought a Unistellar eQuinox direct from Unistellar in 2021. It has revolutionised my observing after more than 60 years experience with 'conventional' telescopes. Self-orientation, superb find-and-track, light pollution elimination, automatic imaging, portability, rapid set-up - I have been able to observe and image hundreds of deep sky objects that I would never have done without the Mighty Midget! Not cheap and not really for beginners. But for ease of access to the deep sky, the eQuinox is brilliant!
First of all many thanks to everyone at FLO for a first class service as always.I bought this for a specific purpose and it will work well for me. With light pollution getting worse where I live itís been increasingly challenging to find targets and Iíve been quite disappointed on a number of occasions. This is where this new technology is essential for me. It compliments my other telescopes and will never replace them.I will still enjoy binocular tours and using my reflector. We all like a challenge. I liken it to doing a crossword puzzle. You wouldnít look at the solutions until youíve had a really good attempt at completing it yourself first. Otherwise whereís the fun? However I now have the option to be a bit more relaxed about it if I want to be and I will still be able to see something even if the opportunities for observing are minimal for whatever reason.Iíve tested it on a number of targets recently including M13, M51, M81, M57, M27, Blue Flash Nebula and Blue Snowball Nebula. Resolution is good after even just a few seconds and gets better the longer you let it do itís thing. Iím impressed. It works and is just what I needed. It provides hope and that is priceless.
