This ADM Vixen-type saddle provides an extremely solid locking surface with maximum contact along the entire length of the saddle. Stainless steel guide pins and spring-loaded design maintains the proper dovetail angles.
Can be fitted to ADM Vixen and Losmandy-type Universal Dovetail bars.
Converts a Losmandy Side-by-Side Mounting System to a combination Losmandy/Vixen Side-By-Side System.
Manufactured from black-anodised 6061 Aluminium and stainless steel.
Available in the following options:
VSAD-STD
The Vixen style saddle is available in several different configurations. The standard saddle comes with two counterbored holes 2" center to center. The Vixen saddle is far superior to the standard saddle. It is 6" long and has two large locking hand knobs. The split clamp saddle grips the dovetail bar like a vice.
VSAD-TPD
The Vixen style saddle is available in several different configurations. This image shows the tapped version. It has a 1/4x20 tapped hole in the center, 2 tapped holes 1" center to center and 2 tapped holes 2" center to center. The Vixen saddle is far superior to the standard saddle.
VSAD-M6
This saddle is configured to fit Skywatcher SkyTee-II, Giro Ercole, Takahashi, William Optics and other mounts incorporating the 35mm spacing on their mounts (two holes 3″ apart, two holes 35mm apart for a 1/4″ or 6mm socket head cap screw).
VSAD-M8
This saddle is configured to fit StellaLyra Dual Alt-Az, Skywatcher SkyTee-II, Takahashi, William Optics and many other mounts incorporating the 35mm spacing on their mounts (two holes 3″ apart, two holes 35mm apart for a 5/16″ or 8mm socket head cap screw).
VSAD-PL
This saddle is configured to fit the Vixen Polaris mount. The VSAD is 6" long and has two large locking hand knobs. The split clamp saddle grips the dovetail bar like vise. This design will not scratch or dent your dovetail bar and offers a far superior method for grabbing the dovetail bar.
VSAD-VM
Designed to fit the Celestron CG5 and other comparable mounts. Please check with us for compatibility. Converts OEM saddle to an ADM saddle. The ADM Saddle is 6" long and has two large locking hand knobs. The split clamp saddle grips the dovetail bar like vise. This design will not scratch or dent your dovetail bar and offers a far superior method for grabbing the dovetail bar.
VSAD-ZEQ

A nice piece of machined metal engineered to a high standard. Holds my refractor securely with no more worries about it sliding out the saddle. Expensive but worth every penny.

Worth mentioning that the saddle listed for a Skytee2 or Ayo mount has the right hole spacing for a Vixen Portamount and is an excellent upgrade. Perhaps one day manufacturers will do away with rounded bolt ends that grind into dovetail bars, but until the ADM replacement saddles are a great option.

Usual very quick delivery from FLO. This replacement saddle was a perfect fit onto the mount, and is more secure for a heavier telescope.

Got these to replace the standard ones on my Skytee 2 mount after discussing with FLO and reading some alarming reports on the safety of the original saddles. They quickly fitted onto the original pucks using the Skytee bolts with a small washer added. Only had a chance to use them a couple of times yet because of the weather but first impressions are positive. They are much more substantial than the Skytee ones and clamped up and held my giant binoculars very securely. The service from FLO was excellent.

Holds a 12. 5Kg 10 inch SCT optical tube assembly perfectly well. I have full confidence in this saddle. The fit and finish is superb - build quality full marks.

This extremely sturdy accessory is absolutely excellent for adding several common 1/4"x20 screw holes on to a Vixel dovetail bar. It clamps on very securely with its perfectly-sized tension knobs and is sufficiently large, heavy and bulky to provide a very secure platform.
I use this accessory to screw on a Synta style finderscope saddle on to a Vixen dovetail bar that sits on top of my Astro-Tech GSO AT8RC telescope. The point is to be able to mount my Orion 50mm Guidescope on to the top-front of the telescope. This makes for a perfectly portable setup whereby I can add this finderscope saddle to any telescope I want that has a Vixen dovetail bar attached to the top.
